A Drawer Full of Frozen Charlottes

Frozen Charlottes possess a certain haunted beauty that no other doll can match.  Even the small, damaged ones can still enchant the person who holds these tiny treasures.

In recent times, these wonderful dolls have become widely used in outsider art.  The attraction the artists feel towards these dolls is completely understandable, but I believe they have a dignified beauty all by themselves.

Such a Small China Doll

There is a quiet, elegant beauty about china head dolls that is unmatched in other types of dolls.  This doll is one of the smallest I've ever seen at just under 4" tall.  She is in rather rough condition which makes me wonder what types of adventures she must have had in the pocket of some little girl so many years ago.
